About the Software Acumen website

This website evolved from an earlier, more basic site when it was moved to a new host in August 2005. We wanted to begin using a content management system for authoring the site as we foresaw increased use of the website as a marketing and support tool and wanted a consistent look and feel across all content.

We chose TYPO3 as the content management system we wanted to work with, primarily because our German partners, pure-systems GmbH were using that system with some success.
