In Software Product Line engagements we typically begin working with your organisation by delivering our Product Line Potential Assessment to identify whether your organisation could actually benefit from Software Product Lines.

If you could benefit, we would typically continue to work with you to refine your Product Line business case, to support your product portfolio analysis (scoping), to assist in your architecture definition and to help with requirements management. These services are provided as tailored consultancy days.

We can also provide tailored training courses to help you spread the word about Software Product Lines throughout your organisation.

Stopping Software Erosion

These types of engagements usually take the form of a software evaluation workshop. Our consultants visit your site and integrate Bauhaus into your build process to enable a model of your software to be created.

As a bare minimum we create a report outlining the results of the key analyses Bauhaus makes with recommendations for further action.

We can also perform an architecture comparison - comparing your actual software architecture with your intended software architecture. These types of comparison can be very useful for reverse-engineering or outsourcing scenarios where you can get a full understanding of the actual state of the software.

We can also create purpose-built scripts during evaluation engagements to enable you to customize Bauhaus to your specific needs e.g. by enforcing house style rules.
